We preserve and manage our beautiful camping property for outdoor recreation
by members and their families. From ATV trails and picnic pavilions to shooting
ranges, the Big Horn Ranch offers something for everyone.
Located near Fairview in Sanpete County, Utah, the Big Horn Ranch Association is a
private, member-governed mountain property focused on responsible access, long-term
stewardship of the land, and safe, family-friendly outdoor recreation including
camping, hunting access, and summer work projects.
Our Mission & Values
Big Horn Ranch Association exists to own, preserve, and carefully manage our shared
mountain property so members and their families can safely enjoy hunting, fishing,
camping, and other lawful outdoor recreation—today and for future generations.
As a Utah non-profit corporation, the Association is organized to own, control,
maintain, and protect Association property primarily for outdoor recreation activities
such as hunting, fishing, picnicking, backpacking, camping, and other lawful uses
approved by the Board.
The Ranch is kept as natural as practical while still supporting needed roads, water
systems, restrooms, and shared facilities that allow members to use the property safely
and responsibly.
Stewardship of the land – We maintain and improve Ranch property so it stays clean, safe, and as natural as possible while still supporting roads, trails, water, and shared facilities.
Safe, lawful recreation – All use of the Ranch follows state law and Association rules so hunting, shooting, ATV riding, and camping remain safe for everyone.
Family and community – Membership is built around families. We encourage respectful use, helpfulness to neighbors, and pitching in on projects when we can.
Quiet from politics – The Ranch is not used for partisan political or religious campaigning. It is a place to get away, not to argue.
Member-driven decisions – Members elect Trustees, review budgets, and vote on major changes at annual and special meetings.
Membership is limited and focused on families who are committed to caring for the
property. Members in good standing enjoy Ranch privileges for themselves, their spouse,
and qualifying children, and help safeguard the Association for future generations.
Keeping dues and assessments current.
Following Ranch rules, hunting regulations, and state law.
Using vehicles and equipment safely and with respect for neighbors.
Protecting gate codes and access to Association-owned property.
Participating in meetings and work projects when possible.
Detailed membership requirements and procedures are available to members
in the official governing documents and member communications.
